🍳 Crispy Rolls with Quark and Apple

Ingredients
- 1 small apple
- 0.5 small lemon
- 1 tsp rapeseed oil
- salt
- pepper
- 5 tbsp low-fat quark
- 1 piece fresh horseradish (approx. 2 cm long)
- 1 rye roll (flat; e.g. Finn roll or Vinschgauer)
- 1 spring onion
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apple thoroughly and dry it.
- 2. Remove the core using a corer.
- 3. Slice the apple into thin rounds.
- 4. Squeeze the lemon half to extract the juice.
- 5. Heat a grill pan on the stovetop.
- 6. Brush the hot pan lightly with the oil.
- 7. Fry the apple slices until golden brown on both sides.
- 8. Season the apples lightly with salt and pepper.
- 9. Let the fried apples cool down completely.
- 10. Place the quark into a separate bowl.
- 11. Peel the horseradish root.
- 12. Grate the horseradish finely.
- 13. Mix the grated horseradish with the lemon juice.
- 14. Stir the horseradish-lemon mixture into the quark.
- 15. Season the quark cream finally with salt and pepper.
- 16. Slice the roll lengthwise.
- 17. Toast the roll briefly in a toaster or oven.
- 18. Clean the spring onions and remove the ends.
- 19. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
- 20. Spread the quark cream onto the toasted side of the roll.
- 21. Place the cooled apple slices on top of the quark.
- 22. Sprinkle the spring onion rings over the top as a garnish.
