Ingredients
- 900 g potatoes
- salt
- 50 g butter
- 50 g flour
- 650 ml milk (1.5% fat)
- pepper
- 1 bunch dill
- 600 g pollock fillet
- 400 g salmon fillet
- 100 g Gouda (30% fat in dry matter)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the potatoes.
- 3. Cut the potatoes into quarters.
- 4. Bring salted water to a boil.
- 5. Add the potato pieces to the boiling water.
- 6. Cover the pot.
- 7. Cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes until tender.
- 8. Melt half of the butter in a pot.
- 9. Stir the flour into the butter while stirring constantly with a whisk.
- 10. Let the roux sweat briefly.
- 11. Slowly add 550 milliliters of milk to the roux.
- 12. Stir constantly with the whisk.
- 13. Simmer the sauce over low heat for 15 minutes.
- 14. Drain the cooked potatoes.
- 15. Place the potatoes back into the pot.
- 16. Place the pot on the turned-off stove burner.
- 17. Let the potatoes steam briefly.
- 18. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
- 19. Stir the remaining butter into the mashed potatoes.
- 20. Stir the remaining milk into the mashed potatoes.
- 21. Season the mashed potatoes with salt.
- 22. Season the mashed potatoes with pepper.
- 23. Wash the dill.
- 24. Shake the dill dry.
- 25. Pluck the small dill leaves (flags) from the stems.
- 26. Finely chop the dill.
- 27. Stir the chopped dill into the dill sauce.
- 28. Thoroughly check the pollock and salmon fillets for bones.
- 29. Rinse the fish fillets.
- 30. Pat the fish fillets dry.
- 31. Cut the fish into cubes of about 3 centimeters.
- 32. Season the fish cubes with salt.
- 33. Season the fish cubes with pepper.
- 34. Distribute the fish cubes in a baking dish.
- 35. Pour the dill sauce over the fish.
- 36. Spread the mashed potatoes as the final layer on top of the fish.
- 37. Grate the cheese finely.
- 38. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the casserole.
- 39. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 40. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes.
- 41. Bake the casserole until golden brown.
