🍽️ Crispy Squid Rings with Chili

Ingredients
- 600 g large squid tubes
- 2 red chili peppers
- 1 egg
- 150 g flour
- 0.125 l dry white wine
- salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 500 ml oil (for deep frying)
- lemon juice
- chili sauce (ready-made product)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the squid and cut them into thick rings.
- 2. Wash the chili peppers thoroughly.
- 3. Slice the chili peppers lengthwise.
- 4. Remove the seeds and the white inner membrane from the chili peppers.
- 5. Finely dice the prepared chili peppers.
- 6. Separate the egg: Carefully remove the yolk and set it aside.
- 7. Beat the egg whites with a mixer until they are semi-stiff.
- 8. Add the flour, diced chili, egg yolk, beaten egg whites, wine, a pinch of salt, and one tablespoon of oil into a bowl.
- 9. Mix all the batter ingredients well together.
- 10. Dip the squid rings completely into the batter.
- 11. Heat oil in a pan or pot until very hot.
- 12. Fry the dipped squid rings in the hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 13. Drizzle the finished rings with fresh lemon juice.
- 14. Season the rings with salt to taste.
- 15. Serve the squid rings with chili sauce for dipping.
