🍰 Crispy Fried Dough Balls (Yeast-Free)

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp soft butter
- 100 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp water
- 280 g flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- neutral oil (for deep frying)
- 4 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Beat butter and sugar with a mixer until creamy and fluffy.
- 2. Stir in the eggs and water.
- 3. Mix flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- 4. Gently fold the mixture into the dough.
- 5. Moisten your hands with water.
- 6. Form about 12 to 15 balls with a diameter of 3 cm from the dough.
- 7. Heat the oil in a pot to 180 degrees.
- 8. Check the oil temperature by dipping the handle of a cooking spoon into the fat.
- 9. The oil is ready when small bubbles start to rise from the handle.
- 10. Place the balls into the hot oil.
- 11. Press them down slightly with a wooden spoon or a slotted spoon.
- 12. Let them puff up nicely from the heat.
- 13. Fry the balls until golden brown.
- 14. Let the finished dough balls drain briefly.
- 15. Roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
- 16. Serve the balls.
