🍽️ Crispy Cheese Balls

Ingredients
- 250 g stale toast bread
- 2 handfuls mint (approx. 50 g)
- 3 eggs
- 150 g freshly grated Parmesan
- 150 g feta cheese
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Remove the crusts from the toast bread.
- 2. Cut the bread into coarse cubes.
- 3. Place the bread cubes in lukewarm water.
- 4. Let the bread soak for about 15 minutes.
- 5. Squeeze the soaked bread well to remove excess water.
- 6. Tear the bread into a soft mass.
- 7. Wash the mint thoroughly.
- 8. Remove the tough stems from the mint.
- 9. Pat the mint dry with a cloth.
- 10. Chop the mint finely.
- 11. Mix the torn bread mass with the eggs.
- 12. Fold in the grated Parmesan.
- 13. Drain the sheep's cheese mixture.
- 14. Crumble the sheep's cheese coarsely.
- 15. Fold the sheep's cheese crumbs into the bread mixture.
- 16. Season the mixture with salt.
- 17. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 18. Cover the bowl with the mixture.
- 19. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
- 20. Form small balls from the cold mixture.
- 21. Heat oil in a pan.
- 22. Fry the cheese balls in batches in the hot oil.
- 23. Fry the balls for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 24. Place the finished balls on kitchen paper.
- 25. Let the excess oil drain off.
- 26. Serve the crispy cheese balls.
