🍽️ Crispy Feta-Bear's Garlic Dumplings with Marinated Peppers

Ingredients
- 500 g Sheep's fresh cheese
- 1 Egg
- 3 tbsp Pecorino (freshly grated)
- 1 bunch Garlic chives
- 60 g Breadcrumbs
- Oil (for frying)
- 2 yellow bell peppers
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 Lemon (juice)
- 1 pinch Oregano (dried)
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the bell peppers into quarters and remove the inside including the seeds.
- 3. Place the pepper pieces skin-side up under the grill.
- 4. Grill the peppers at 240 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes until bubbles form on the skin.
- 5. Remove the grilled peppers.
- 6. Cover the hot peppers with a damp cloth.
- 7. Let the peppers cool down completely.
- 8. Peel the skin off the bell peppers.
- 9. Place the peeled pepper pieces in a shallow dish.
- 10. Drizzle the peppers with lemon juice and olive oil.
- 11. Season the peppers with salt and pepper.
- 12. Add oregano.
- 13. Let the marinated peppers sit for about 2 hours.
- 14. Mix cream cheese, egg, and Pecorino cheese in a bowl.
- 15. Cut the bear's garlic into thin strips.
- 16. Set aside one tablespoon of bear's garlic for decoration.
- 17. Stir the remaining bear's garlic into the cheese mixture.
- 18. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 19. Check if the mixture is easy to shape.
- 20. If necessary, add some white bread crumbs to improve shapeability.
- 21. Form about eight balls from the cheese mixture.
- 22. Roll the balls in white bread crumbs until they are completely covered.
- 23. Heat oil in a pan.
- 24. Fry the balls in the hot oil for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- 25. Remove the balls from the oil when they are golden brown.
- 26. Arrange the marinated bell peppers on a plate.
- 27. Place the fried balls on top of the peppers.
- 28. Sprinkle the dish with the reserved bear's garlic.
- 29. Serve the dish immediately.
