🍽️ Crispy Fried Shrimp Dumplings

Ingredients
- 200 g flour
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp peanut oil
- 200 g chopped shrimp
- 4 spring onions (cut into rings)
- 0.5 tsp ginger (freshly grated)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- oil (for the steamer basket)
- 300 g white cabbage
- salt
- 1 red bell pepper
Instructions
- 1. Put flour, vinegar, oil, and about 150 milliliters of water into a bowl.
- 2. Knead the ingredients into a smooth and elastic dough.
- 3. Roll out the dough thinly.
- 4. Cut out 8 to 10 centimeter circles from the dough.
- 5. Mix the shrimp, spring onions, ginger, sesame oil, sugar, and salt in a separate bowl.
- 6. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle.
- 7. Fold the dough edges together.
- 8. Press the edges into each other alternately to create a zigzag pattern.
- 9. Brush a bamboo steamer basket with oil.
- 10. Place the filled pockets into the prepared basket.
- 11. Steam the pockets for about 8 minutes until cooked through.
- 12. Wash the white cabbage and remove the core end.
- 13. Cut the white cabbage into thin strips.
- 14. Boil the cabbage strips for 3 to 4 minutes in salted water (blanch).
- 15. Wash the bell pepper, halve it, and remove the inside.
- 16. Cut the bell pepper into thin strips as well.
- 17. Arrange the steamed cabbage and pepper strips on the plate.
- 18. Place the finished shrimp pockets on top.
- 19. Serve the dish with a spicy chili dip if desired.
