🍽️ Crispy Frisée Salad with Fried Tofu

Ingredients
- 2 Carrots
- 2 tbsp White Bell Peppers
- 200 g Tofu
- Salt, Pepper from the mill
- 4 tbsp Sesame
- 6 tbsp Oil (for frying)
- 1 small Frisée lettuce
- 30 g Ginger preserved in syrup
- Juice of one Lemon
- 4 tbsp Soybean oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the carrots.
- 2. Cut the carrots into thin strips.
- 3. Cut the bell peppers into quarters.
- 4. Remove the seeds and white pith from the pepper pieces.
- 5. Rinse the peppers under running water.
- 6. Dice the peppers into small cubes.
- 7. Cut the tofu into small pieces measuring approximately 1 by 4 centimeters.
- 8. Season the tofu pieces with salt and pepper.
- 9. Roll the tofu pieces in sesame seeds until they are coated all around.
- 10. Heat oil in batches in a non-stick frying pan.
- 11. Fry the sesame-coated tofu pieces in the pan until browned on all sides.
- 12. Place the fried tofu pieces on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
- 13. Remove any wilted leaves from the frisée lettuce.
- 14. Wash the frisée lettuce thoroughly.
- 15. Dry the lettuce using a salad spinner or a kitchen towel.
- 16. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
- 17. Arrange the lettuce and prepared vegetables on the plates.
- 18. Place the fried tofu pieces on top of the salad.
- 19. Dice the ginger into fine cubes.
- 20. Mix the ginger with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- 21. Stir the soybean oil into the dressing ingredients.
- 22. Pour the dressing over the plated salad.
