🍰 Orange Cream Cheese Date Cream with Figs

Ingredients
- 300 g organic orange (2 organic oranges)
- 0.5 tsp cornstarch
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 80 g dried dates (8 dried dates)
- 200 g cream cheese preparation (0.2 % fat)
- 200 g yogurt (1.5 % fat)
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey
- 20 g pistachio kernels (2 tsp)
- 2 fresh figs
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the oranges under hot water and dry them.
- 2. Grate 1 to 2 tablespoons of fine orange zest.
- 3. Halve the oranges and squeeze out the juice.
- 4. Mix 3 tablespoons of orange juice with the starch in a small bowl.
- 5. Put the remaining orange juice, the cinnamon stick, and the cloves into a pot.
- 6. Pour the mixed starch into the pot.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a boil once.
- 8. Remove the pot from the heat and let the sauce steep.
- 9. Halve the dates and remove the pits.
- 10. Dice the dates finely and put them into a bowl.
- 11. Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves from the warm orange sauce.
- 12. Pour the hot sauce over the dates.
- 13. Let the dates cool down in the sauce.
- 14. Mix cream cheese and yogurt until creamy.
- 15. Fold in the orange zest, cinnamon, and honey.
- 16. Chop the pistachio kernels coarsely.
- 17. Wash the figs and pat them dry.
- 18. Cut the figs into eighths.
- 19. Plate the yogurt cream with the figs.
- 20. Add the orange-date sauce.
- 21. Sprinkle the dish with the chopped pistachios.
- 22. Serve the cream immediately.
