🍽️ Fresh Quark Toast with Apple Puree

Ingredients
- 50 g apples (0.5 small apples)
- 15 g chopped hazelnut kernels (1 tbsp)
- 1 tsp apricot jam
- 1 pinch cinnamon (preferably Ceylon cinnamon)
- 1 slice whole wheat toast
- 40 g low-fat quark (2 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash half of an apple under running water.
- 2. Cut the washed apple into four equal quarters.
- 3. Remove the core from each apple quarter.
- 4. Take one of the apple quarters and chop it roughly with a knife.
- 5. Place the roughly chopped apple piece into a small bowl.
- 6. Puree the apple piece in the bowl using a hand blender until smooth.
- 7. Add the hazelnuts to the bowl with the apple puree.
- 8. Stir the jam into the apple puree mixture.
- 9. Mix the cinnamon into the entire puree mixture until evenly seasoned.
- 10. Toast the whole wheat toast slices in a toaster or pan until golden brown.
- 11. Spread the quark evenly over the warm toast slices.
- 12. Spoon the spiced apple puree onto the quark and spread it evenly.
- 13. Take the second apple quarter and slice it into paper-thin slices.
- 14. Top the toast with the thin apple slices.
