  1. 1. Soak the bread rolls in some water. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onion cubes in it. Then stir the pistachios and thyme into the onions.
  2. 2. Put the minced meat into a large bowl. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well and add it to the meat along with the egg, the onion-pistachio mixture, the mustard, salt, and pepper. Knead everything well until a homogeneous mass is formed.
  3. 3. Shape small meatballs from the meat mixture. Heat oil in a pan and fry the meatballs in it for about 10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through on all sides.
