🍽️ Crispy Meatballs with Pistachios

Ingredients
- 1 roll
- 1 onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- 30 g chopped pistachios
- 1 tsp thyme leaves
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 egg (size M)
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- salt
- pepper from the mill
- 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Soak the bread rolls in some water. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onion cubes in it. Then stir the pistachios and thyme into the onions.
- 2. Put the minced meat into a large bowl. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well and add it to the meat along with the egg, the onion-pistachio mixture, the mustard, salt, and pepper. Knead everything well until a homogeneous mass is formed.
- 3. Shape small meatballs from the meat mixture. Heat oil in a pan and fry the meatballs in it for about 10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through on all sides.
