  1. 1. Slice the spelt rolls into thick pieces.
  2. 2. Place the bread slices in a bowl with lukewarm water and let them soak briefly.
  3. 3. Rinse the parsley under running water.
  4. 4. Shake the parsley dry.
  5. 5. Finely chop the parsley.
  6. 6. Peel the onion.
  7. 7. Dice the onion finely.
  8. 8. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a frying pan.
  9. 9. Fry the onion cubes for one to two minutes until translucent.
  10. 10. Remove the pan from the heat and let the onions cool down briefly.
  11. 11. Squeeze the soaked bread well with your hands to remove excess liquid.
  12. 12. Add the squeezed bread, cooled onions, eggs, mustard, and chopped parsley to a large bowl.
  13. 13. Add the minced meat to the bowl.
  14. 14. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  15. 15. Add one teaspoon of marjoram.
  16. 16. Knead all ingredients well with your hands until a homogeneous mass forms.
  17. 17. Shape ten equal-sized meatballs from the meat mixture.
  18. 18. Heat the remaining butter in the same pan.
  19. 19. Place four meatballs at a time into the hot pan.
  20. 20. Fry the meatballs for four to five minutes on one side over medium heat.
  21. 21. Turn the meatballs over.
  22. 22. Fry the second side for another four to five minutes until golden brown.
  23. 23. Remove the cooked meatballs from the pan.
  24. 24. Repeat the frying process with the remaining meatballs until all are done.
