🍽️ Grilled Meatballs with Peppers and Spicy Dip

Ingredients
- 0.5 red bell pepper
- 0.5 bunch chives
- 1 spring onion
- 6 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tbsp meat broth
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp crumbled thyme
- 1 tsp ground rosemary
- 1 tsp dried tarragon
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- 1. Wash the bell pepper thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper.
- 3. Cut the deseeded bell pepper into very small cubes.
- 4. Wash the chives.
- 5. Shake the chives dry.
- 6. Wash the spring onions.
- 7. Remove the tough ends of the spring onions.
- 8. Cut the chives into small rings.
- 9. Cut the spring onions into small rings.
- 10. Mix the diced pepper, chive rings, and spring onion rings with the remaining ingredients for the sauce.
- 11. Let the sauce marinate for about 2 hours.
- 12. Wash the bell peppers for grilling.
- 13. Halve the bell peppers lengthwise.
- 14. Remove the seeds and white pith from the pepper halves.
- 15. Place the bread roll in lukewarm water.
- 16. Let the bread roll soak in the water for about 15 minutes.
- 17. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well.
- 18. Knead the squeezed bread roll with the minced meat.
- 19. Add the mustard to the meat mixture.
- 20. Add the egg to the meat mixture.
- 21. Season the mixture with salt.
- 22. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 23. Season the mixture with oregano.
- 24. Shape 4 meatballs from the meat mixture.
- 25. Brush the meatballs with olive oil.
- 26. Brush the pepper halves with olive oil.
- 27. Place the meatballs and pepper halves on the preheated grill.
- 28. Grill the meatballs and peppers for about 15 minutes.
- 29. Turn the meatballs and peppers once after half the cooking time.
- 30. Drizzle the finished meatballs with the sauce.
- 31. Place the grilled peppers on the plates.
- 32. Serve the remaining sauce separately.
- 33. Serve the dish with carrot and white cabbage salad if desired.
