  1. 1. Rinse the trout under cold running water.
  2. 2. Pat the fish completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Season the trout generously with salt and pepper both inside and out.
  4. 4. Wash the lemons thoroughly with hot water and pat them dry.
  5. 5. Slice the lemons into very thin rounds.
  6. 6. Wash the dill and shake off excess water.
  7. 7. Pluck the delicate dill tips from the stems.
  8. 8. Place the trout inside the fish grilling tongs.
  9. 9. Stuff the fish inside and out with the lemon slices and dill tips.
  10. 10. Drizzle one teaspoon of olive oil over each fish.
  11. 11. Close the grilling tongs and secure the latch.
  12. 12. Place the tongs on the preheated hot grill.
  13. 13. Grill the trout for 20 to 25 minutes.
