🍽️ Indian-style Tandoori Beef Skewers with Yogurt Dip

Ingredients
- 500 g beef tenderloin
- 2 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 g yogurt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp paprika powder
- Spice mix (1 tsp each ground cumin, nutmeg, coriander, black pepper, paprika powder)
- 50 g sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 200 g yogurt
- salt
- pepper
- lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the beef fillet under running water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Remove visible fat and sinew from the meat.
- 4. Cut the beef into strips approximately 5 mm thick.
- 5. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 6. Mix the yogurt with the oil and the spice mix in a bowl.
- 7. Press the garlic directly into the yogurt mixture.
- 8. Coat the beef strips generously with the marinade.
- 9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- 10. Place the dish in the refrigerator overnight to marinate.
- 11. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden brown.
- 12. Remove the sesame seeds from the pan.
- 13. Add the sesame seeds along with the olive oil to the yogurt for the dip.
- 14. Mix all dip ingredients thoroughly together.
- 15. Season the dip with salt, pepper, and a little lemon juice.
- 16. Thread the marinated beef onto the skewers.
- 17. Preheat the grill.
- 18. Place a piece of aluminum foil on the grill grate.
- 19. Place the skewers on the aluminum foil.
- 20. Grill the skewers for approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
- 21. Brush the skewers repeatedly with the remaining marinade during cooking.
- 22. Serve the finished skewers together with the yogurt dip.
