Ingredients
- 300 g fresh pcs John's wort flowers
- 1 l vegetable oil (to your liking)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the pcs John's Wort flowers and gently pat them dry.
- 2. Place the flowers on a baking sheet or in a heat-resistant bowl.
- 3. Preheat the oven to 70 degrees Celsius.
- 4. Dry the flowers in the oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- 5. Remove the dried flowers from the oven and let them cool down.
- 6. Put the dried flowers into a clean glass bottle.
- 7. Pour oil over the flowers until the bottle is full.
- 8. Seal the bottle tightly with a lid.
- 9. Place the bottle in a warm, sunny spot, such as a windowsill.
- 10. Let the oil infuse for 4 to 6 weeks.
- 11. Shake the bottle vigorously from time to time.
- 12. Watch as the oil gradually takes on a reddish color.
- 13. Pour the finished oil through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl.
- 14. Transfer the filtered oil into a clean bottle.
- 15. Seal the bottle well.
- 16. Stick a label with the name and date on the bottle.
- 17. Store the oil in a dark and cool place.
- 18. Use the oil within about four months.
