🍽️ Flammkuchen with Beetroot and Plums

Ingredients
- 410 g Spelt flour Type 1050
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- Salt
- 50 g Margarine
- 1 tsp Honey
- 2 sprigs Thyme
- 200 g Goat cream cheese
- Pepper
- 2 Beetroot
- 2 Spring onions
- 4 red Plums
- 100 g Halloumi
- 50 g Walnut kernels
- 4 tbsp Rapeseed oil
Instructions
- 1. Put 400 grams of flour, yeast, one teaspoon of salt, margarine, honey, and 250 milliliters of lukewarm water into a bowl.
- 2. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 3. Cover the dough.
- 4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about one hour.
- 5. Wait until the volume of the dough has doubled.
- 6. Dust your work surface with the remaining flour.
- 7. Roll the dough into four flat rounds.
- 8. Place the dough rounds on two baking sheets.
- 9. Make sure the baking sheets are lined with baking paper.
- 10. Wash the thyme under running water.
- 11. Shake the thyme dry.
- 12. Pluck the thyme leaves from the stems.
- 13. Take half of the thyme leaves.
- 14. Stir the thyme leaves into the goat cream cheese until smooth.
- 15. Season the cheese mixture with salt and pepper.
- 16. Peel the beetroot.
- 17. Slice or shred the beetroot into thin slices.
- 18. Trim the spring onions.
- 19. Wash the spring onions.
- 20. Slice the spring onions into rings.
- 21. Wash the plums.
- 22. Halve the plums.
- 23. Remove the stones from the plum halves.
- 24. Cut the plums into wedges.
- 25. Cut the cheese into small pieces.
- 26. Alternatively, crumble the cheese.
- 27. Roughly chop the walnut kernels.
- 28. Spread the goat cream cheese mixture over the dough rounds.
- 29. Place the beetroot slices on the dough.
- 30. Place the plum wedges on the dough.
- 31. Place the onion rings on the dough.
- 32. Put the cheese over the toppings.
- 33. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
- 34. Use 200 degrees Celsius for convection.
- 35. Use gas mark 3 to 4.
- 36. Bake the flammkuchen for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- 37. Bake the flammkuchen until golden brown.
- 38. Remove the flammkuchen from the oven.
- 39. Drizzle the flammkuchen with rapeseed oil.
- 40. Sprinkle the flammkuchen with the remaining thyme.
- 41. Sprinkle the flammkuchen with the walnuts.
- 42. Sprinkle the flammkuchen with pepper.
- 43. Serve the flammkuchen immediately.
