🍽️ Indian-style Flatbread (Chapati)

Ingredients
- 200 g wheat
- 200 g wheat flour
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- flour (for the work surface)
Instructions
- 1. Grind the wheat very finely.
- 2. Mix the finely ground wheat flour in a bowl with the white flour and the salt.
- 3. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
- 4. Pour approx. 300 ml of lukewarm water into the well, spoonful by spoonful.
- 5. Knead the water into the dough from the center outwards until a smooth dough forms.
- 6. Knead the oil thoroughly into the dough.
- 7. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest in a warm place for approx. 40 minutes.
- 8. Divide the dough into 12 to 15 equal-sized balls.
- 9. Dust the work surface with flour.
- 10. Roll out each dough ball into a flatbread of 16 to 18 cm in diameter.
- 11. Cook the flatbreads without fat in a large pan.
- 12. Fry each flatbread for approx. 1 to 2 minutes per side.
- 13. Alternatively, you can bake the flatbreads on a hot pizza stone.
