🍽️ Fried fish patties with spicy lime dip

Ingredients
- 100 g green peas (frozen)
- 1 organic lime
- 600 g white fish fillet (e.g. cod)
- 2 eggs
- 50 g whole wheat breadcrumbs
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
- 1 red chili pepper
- 200 g sour cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Let the peas thaw.
- 2. Rinse the lime under hot water and pat it dry.
- 3. Finely grate the lime zest.
- 4. Squeeze the lime juice.
- 5. Rinse the fish fillet under cold water.
- 6. Pat the fish fillet dry.
- 7. Grind the fish fillet through a meat grinder.
- 8. Alternatively, chop the fish fillet very finely.
- 9. Place the fish mixture in a bowl.
- 10. Add the eggs to the fish mixture.
- 11. Add the thawed peas.
- 12. Add the breadcrumbs.
- 13. Add 2 tablespoons of lime juice.
- 14. Season the mixture with salt.
- 15. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 16. Add a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg.
- 17. Knead everything into a dough.
- 18. Place the covered bowl in a cool place.
- 19. Wash the chili pepper.
- 20. Remove the stem and seeds of the chili pepper.
- 21. Finely chop the chili pepper.
- 22. Set aside a small amount of the chopped chili.
- 23. Set aside a small amount of the lime zest.
- 24. Stir the remaining chili pieces into the sour cream.
- 25. Stir the remaining lime zest into the sour cream.
- 26. Season the dip with lime juice.
- 27. Season the dip with pepper.
- 28. Form 8 equal-sized patties from the fish dough.
- 29. Flatten the patties slightly.
- 30. Heat oil in a large pan.
- 31. Fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
- 32. Fry the patties over medium heat.
- 33. Fry the patties for 4 to 5 minutes.
- 34. Serve the patties on 4 plates.
- 35. Serve with the dip.
- 36. Sprinkle the dip with the remaining chili pieces.
- 37. Sprinkle the dip with the remaining lime zest.
