🍽️ Creamy Fish and Potato Gratin

Ingredients
- 400 g White fish fillet (pollock, cod or redfish)
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 0.5 Lemon (juice)
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 500 g Spinach
- Nutmeg
- 600 g Potatoes
- 150 g Crème fraîche
- 100 g Heavy cream
- 50 g Alpine cheese
- 2 Eggs
Instructions
- 1. Season the fish fillets with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
- 2. Peel the garlic and chop it into small cubes.
- 3. Wash the spinach, remove tough stems, and spin it dry.
- 4. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pot.
- 5. Sauté the chopped garlic in the butter for a short time.
- 6. Add the spinach and stir until it wilts.
- 7. Season the spinach with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- 8. Peel the potatoes and wash them.
- 9. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- 10. Whisk crème fraîche, cream, grated cheese, and eggs together in a bowl.
- 11. Season the cream mixture with a little salt and pepper.
- 12. Grease a baking dish.
- 13. Place half of the potato slices as the first layer in the dish.
- 14. Distribute the seasoned fish and spinach evenly on top.
- 15. Cover everything with the remaining potato slices.
- 16. Pour the egg-cream mixture evenly over the potatoes.
- 17. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- 18. Bake the gratin for 40 to 50 minutes in the center of the oven.
