🍽️ Fresh Fennel Grilled in Herb Marinade

Ingredients
- 4 bulbs fennel
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 40 ml lemon olive oil
- 1 tbsp fruit vinegar
- 1 pinch sugar
- white pepper
- 1 clove garlic
Instructions
- 1. Wash the fennel thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Trim off the thin bottom part of the bulb.
- 3. Save the green fennel fronds for later.
- 4. Slice the fennel bulbs lengthwise into slices about 1 centimeter thick.
- 5. Make sure the slices remain attached at the base so they do not fall apart.
- 6. Wash the thyme.
- 7. Pluck the small leaves from the stems.
- 8. Add the thyme leaves to the seasoned olive oil.
- 9. Whisk the vinegar, sugar, and pepper together well.
- 10. Peel the garlic clove.
- 11. Press the garlic directly into the marinade.
- 12. Coat the fennel slices evenly with this marinade.
- 13. Place the fennel on the preheated grill.
- 14. Grill it, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes.
- 15. Wait until the fennel is golden yellow.
- 16. Baste it with the marinade repeatedly during this time.
- 17. Remove the fennel pieces from the grill.
- 18. Serve immediately.
