Ingredients
- 1800 g fresh ripe fig
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 clove
- 700 ml red grape juice
- 0.5 tsp agar-agar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the figs thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the figs and cut them into thin strips.
- 3. Place the cut figs into a pot.
- 4. Add cinnamon and a clove.
- 5. Pour in the grape juice.
- 6. Let the mixture steep for two hours.
- 7. Bring the figs to a boil slowly.
- 8. Stir in the agar-agar powder.
- 9. Boil the jam for two minutes.
- 10. Fill the hot jam to the brim into sterile jars.
- 11. Seal the jars tightly.
- 12. Place the jars upside down on a kitchen towel immediately.
- 13. Let them stand in this position for five minutes.
- 14. Turn the jars back over.
- 15. Let the jam cool down completely.
