🍰 Fig and Cheese Tart with Honey

Ingredients
- 200 g puff pastry (frozen)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 50 g red currant jelly
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 large figs
- 100 g blue cheese (e.g. Gorgonzola or Saint Agur)
- 45 g walnut kernels
- arugula leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Let the ready-made dough thaw.
- 3. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
- 4. Set aside about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the melted butter.
- 5. Spread the remaining butter on the bottom of a 20 cm springform pan.
- 6. Do not remove the side of the springform pan yet, but ensure the dough does not stick to it.
- 7. Roll out the thawed dough flat.
- 8. Cut the dough to fit the pan exactly.
- 9. Place the dough into the prepared pan.
- 10. Gently warm the fig jelly in a small saucepan.
- 11. Mix the warmed jelly with 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey.
- 12. Spread the jelly-honey mixture evenly over the dough.
- 13. Leave a border of about 3 cm around the dough.
- 14. Rinse the figs under running water.
- 15. Dry the figs with a kitchen towel.
- 16. Slice the figs into thin slices.
- 17. Distribute the fig slices evenly over the tart.
- 18. Crumble the cheese roughly over the figs.
- 19. Drizzle the tart with the remaining honey.
- 20. Brush the free dough border with the reserved butter.
- 21. Bake the tart in the oven for about 20 minutes.
- 22. Remove the tart from the oven.
- 23. Let the tart cool down briefly.
- 24. Roughly chop the walnuts.
- 25. Sprinkle the walnuts over the cooled tart.
- 26. Rinse the arugula leaves under running water.
- 27. Shake the leaves dry.
- 28. Serve the tart lukewarm together with the arugula.
