🍽️ Fig Jam with Red Wine

Ingredients
- 1200 g fig
- 2 clove
- 300 ml red wine
- 500 g jam sugar (3:1)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the figs thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the figs and cut them into thin strips.
- 3. Place the fig strips, cloves, and red wine into a pot.
- 4. Add the sugar and stir it in well.
- 5. Let the mixture steep for two hours.
- 6. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil.
- 7. Let it boil vigorously for four minutes.
- 8. Perform a gel test to check the consistency.
- 9. Fill the hot jam to the brim into the prepared jars.
- 10. Seal the jars tightly.
- 11. Place the jars upside down on a clean kitchen towel immediately.
- 12. Let them stand like this for five minutes.
- 13. Turn the jars back over.
- 14. Let the fig jam with red wine cool down completely.
