  1. 1. Rinse the figs under running water.
  2. 2. Then dry the fruits with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Cut a small cross into the top of each fig.
  4. 4. Place the prepared figs in a shallow baking dish.
  5. 5. Whisk about 6 tablespoons of honey with the white wine in a small bowl.
  6. 6. Pour the honey-wine mixture evenly over the figs.
  7. 7. Cover the dish and let the figs marinate at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  8. 8. Preheat your grill and set it to high heat.
  9. 9. Place the marinated figs on the hot grill grate.
  10. 10. Grill the figs for about 7 minutes.
  11. 11. Turn the fruits once during grilling so they cook evenly.
  12. 12. Drizzle the finished figs with the remaining honey.
  13. 13. Serve the grilled figs garnished with fresh lavender flowers.
