🍽️ Figures with Almond Honey Filling

Ingredients
- 16 figs (juicy and ripe)
- 6 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 100 g chopped almond kernels
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Make a cross-shaped cut on the top of the figs.
- 3. Gently pull the figs apart slightly.
- 4. Place the figs side by side in an oven-safe dish.
- 5. Drizzle the figs with two tablespoons of honey.
- 6. Add the lemon juice.
- 7. Bake the figs in the oven for about 10 minutes until they are soft.
- 8. Place the almonds in a pan without adding any extra fat.
- 9. Toast the almonds until they are golden brown.
- 10. Remove the toasted almonds from the pan.
- 11. Let the almonds cool down.
- 12. Take the baked figs out of the oven.
- 13. Distribute the figs onto plates.
- 14. Fill the cut figs with the cooled almonds.
- 15. Drizzle the filled figs with the remaining honey.
- 16. Serve the dish immediately.
