🍽️ Figures with filling from blue mold cheese and walnuts

Ingredients
- 12 walnut kernels
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
- 12 ripe figs
- 100 g blue cheese
- 80 g cream cheese (plain)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Heat a non-stick pan without oil or butter.
- 2. Put the walnuts in the hot pan.
- 3. Roast the nuts briefly until they are slightly fragrant.
- 4. Sprinkle the powdered sugar evenly over the warm nuts.
- 5. Let the sugar melt and caramelize until it is golden brown.
- 6. Remove the nuts from the pan immediately.
- 7. Place the caramelized nuts on a sheet of baking paper.
- 8. Let the nuts cool completely and harden.
- 9. Wash the figs under running water.
- 10. Dry the figs carefully with a kitchen towel.
- 11. Cut the top of each fig in a cross shape.
- 12. Make sure not to cut the figs completely through.
- 13. Open the cuts slightly so that the fig looks like a flower.
- 14. Cut the blue mold cheese into small cubes.
- 15. Put the cheese cubes in a bowl.
- 16. Add the cream cheese.
- 17. Mix the two types of cheese well together.
- 18. Season the cheese cream with a pinch of salt.
- 19. Season the cheese cream with freshly ground pepper.
- 20. Fill the cheese cream into a piping bag.
- 21. Insert a small round nozzle into the tip of the bag.
- 22. Pipe the cheese cream into the center of the opened figs.
- 23. Place the filled figs on a serving plate.
- 24. Take the cooled caramelized walnuts.
- 25. Halve the walnuts carefully.
- 26. Place one walnut half on each filled fig.
- 27. Serve the figs immediately as an appetizing snack.
