  1. 1. Put the cashew nuts and the oil into a mortar.
  2. 2. Crush the mixture with the pestle until a fine paste forms.
  3. 3. Stir the cream cheese into the cashew paste.
  4. 4. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Wash the cress and cut off the lower stem ends.
  6. 6. Take about half of the cress and gently fold it into the cheese mixture.
  7. 7. Carefully cut off the top part (the lid) of each fig.
  8. 8. Place about one tablespoon of the cheese filling into the hollowed-out fig.
  9. 9. Sprinkle the remaining cress over the filling.
  10. 10. Place the cut-off fig lids back onto the filling.
  11. 11. Serve the stuffed figs immediately.
