  1. 1. Heat a dry pan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the poppy seeds to the hot pan.
  3. 3. Stir the poppy seeds for a few minutes until they are fragrant and lightly browned.
  4. 4. Remove the poppy seeds from the pan and place them in a small bowl.
  5. 5. Let the poppy seeds cool down completely.
  6. 6. Place the cooled poppy seeds into a mortar.
  7. 7. Lightly crush the poppy seeds with the pestle.
  8. 8. Take a grapefruit and slice off the thick outer skin.
  9. 9. Remove the white pith underneath the skin as well.
  10. 10. Slice the grapefruit flesh into thin rounds.
  11. 11. Roughly chop the grapefruit slices into small pieces.
  12. 12. Place the chopped grapefruit into a large mixing bowl.
  13. 13. Add the crushed poppy seeds to the grapefruit.
  14. 14. Add maple syrup to the bowl.
  15. 15. Add yogurt to the bowl.
  16. 16. Mix the grapefruit, poppy seeds, syrup, and yogurt together thoroughly.
  17. 17. Take a papaya and peel it.
  18. 18. Remove the seeds from the inside of the papaya.
  19. 19. Cut the papaya into wedges or slices.
  20. 20. Take a melon and peel it.
  21. 21. Remove the seeds from the inside of the melon.
  22. 22. Cut the melon into wedges or slices.
  23. 23. Take a kiwi and peel it.
  24. 24. Cut the kiwi into wedges.
  25. 25. Take an orange and peel it thickly.
  26. 26. Remove all the white pith from the orange.
  27. 27. Slice the orange flesh into rounds.
  28. 28. Take a pomegranate and cut out a wedge-shaped piece at the top crown.
  29. 29. Break the fruit apart into several pieces with gentle pressure.
  30. 30. Let the fruit seeds fall out.
  31. 31. Remove the white membrane pieces from the seeds.
  32. 32. Take a large serving platter.
  33. 33. Decoratively arrange the papaya, melon, and orange slices on the platter.
  34. 34. Sprinkle the pomegranate seeds over the fruit.
  35. 35. Serve the yogurt-poppy seed mixture separately on the side.
