  1. 1. Remove the green stems from the strawberries.
  2. 2. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
  3. 3. Cut the strawberries into quarters.
  4. 4. Wash the fresh basil leaves.
  5. 5. Shake the basil dry so that no water droplets remain on it.
  6. 6. Pluck the individual basil leaves from the stems.
  7. 7. Cut the lime in half.
  8. 8. Squeeze the juice out of the lime.
  9. 9. Add the basil leaves to a bowl with the strawberries.
  10. 10. Add the lime juice to the mixture.
  11. 11. Add the sugar substitute erythritol.
  12. 12. Puree all ingredients with a blender or hand blender until smooth.
  13. 13. Pour the strawberry-basil mixture into a freezer-safe container.
  14. 14. Place the container in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator.
  15. 15. Stir the mixture once every 30 to 60 minutes.
  16. 16. Repeat stirring until the ice cream reaches the desired creamy consistency.
  17. 17. Take the finished sorbet out of the freezer.
  18. 18. Serve the dessert immediately.
