  2. 2. Scrape out the small seeds with a knife.
  3. 3. Add the vanilla seeds and the empty pods to the milk.
  4. 4. Bring the milk-vanilla mixture to a boil once.
  5. 5. Remove the pot from the heat.
  6. 6. Let the milk with the vanilla steep for about 30 minutes.
  7. 7. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar with a hand mixer.
  8. 8. Mix the mixture until it is frothy.
  9. 9. Remove the vanilla pods from the milk.
  10. 10. Warm up the milk briefly if necessary so that it is lukewarm.
  11. 11. Stir the lukewarm milk into the egg yolk cream while stirring constantly.
  12. 12. Place the mixture back on the stove.
  13. 13. Heat it until it is just about to boil.
  14. 14. Do not let the mixture boil.
  15. 15. Rinse the lemon under hot water.
  16. 16. Pat the lemon dry.
  17. 17. Grate the zest finely.
  18. 18. Stir the lemon zest into the ice cream mixture.
  19. 19. Let the mixture cool down while stirring occasionally.
  20. 20. Place the bowl in the freezer.
  21. 21. Let the mixture freeze for about 3 hours.
  22. 22. Stir the mixture well every 30 minutes during this time.

  32. 32. Let the masses thaw briefly if necessary before mixing them.

  34. 34. Combine them so that a marbled pattern is created.
  35. 35. Fill the finished strawberry ice cream into a third bowl.
  36. 36. Place the bowl in the freezer for another hour.
  37. 37. Let the ice cream thaw briefly before serving.
  38. 38. Use an ice cream scoop to cut out balls of ice cream.
  39. 39. Serve the strawberry ice cream without cream immediately.
