🍽️ Spicy Strawberry Chutney

Ingredients
- 1 tsp coriander seeds
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 shallot
- 1 tsp paprika powder (mild)
- 75 ml apple cider vinegar
- 75 g brown sugar
- 400 g strawberries
- 4 mild chili peppers
- salt
- cayenne pepper
Instructions
- 1. Put the coriander, mustard seeds, and bay leaf into a spice bag and close it well.
- 2. Peel the shallot and dice it finely.
- 3. Add the shallot, the spice bag, paprika powder, about 50 milliliters of water, vinegar, and sugar to a pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 5. Let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
- 6. If necessary, add a little more water.
- 7. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and halve them.
- 8. Wash the chili peppers, cut off the stems, and slice them into rings.
- 9. Add the strawberries and chili rings to the spice broth.
- 10. Let everything simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 11. Remove the spice bag.
- 12. Let the chutney cool down.
- 13. Season it with salt and cayenne pepper.
