🍽️ Fresh Strawberry Vanilla Jam

Ingredients
- 2 kg Strawberries
- 1.25 kg Jam sugar 2:1
- 500 ml Orange juice
- 2 Vanilla pods
Instructions
- 1. Remove the green stems from the strawberries and wash them thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the berries in half or quarters depending on their size.
- 3. Place the prepared strawberries and the pectin sugar into a pot.
- 4. Stir the mixture well to ensure the sugar is evenly distributed.
- 5. Let the mixture stand for about one hour to allow the fruit to release its juice.
- 6. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
- 7. Place the empty screw-top jars in the boiling water for ten minutes to sterilize them.
- 8. Carefully remove the hot jars from the water.
- 9. Place the jars upside down on clean kitchen towels to let them cool.
- 10. Slice the vanilla pods lengthwise.
- 11. Scrape out the inner vanilla seeds with a knife.
- 12. Add the orange juice, the vanilla seeds, and the empty vanilla pods to the strawberry mixture.
- 13. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
- 14. Let the jam bubble and cook for three to four minutes.
- 15. Remove the rising foam with a spoon.
- 16. Remove the vanilla pods from the pot and discard them.
- 17. Use a ladle or a measuring cup to fill the hot jam into the prepared jars.
- 18. Wipe the rims of the jars clean to ensure the lid seals tightly.
- 19. Screw the lids tightly onto the jars immediately.
- 20. Place the filled jars upside down for a few minutes.
- 21. Turn the jars back over after about five minutes.
