  2. 2. Remove the green stems from the strawberries.
  3. 3. Pat the strawberries dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Mix the quark (low-fat curd cheese), flour, egg, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  5. 5. Knead the butter into the quark mixture until a smooth dough forms.
  6. 6. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
  7. 7. Shape the dough on the floured surface into a long roll.
  8. 8. Ensure the diameter of the dough roll is about as thick as a strawberry.
  9. 9. Cut the dough roll into slices about 2 centimeters thick.
  10. 10. Shape each dough slice into a small ball.
  11. 11. Take a dough ball and place a strawberry in the center.
  12. 12. Close the dough around the strawberry and press the edges firmly together.
  13. 13. Lightly roll the finished dumplings in flour.
  14. 14. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  15. 15. Add the dumplings to the boiling water.
  16. 16. Cook the dumplings until they float to the surface of the water.
  17. 17. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and place them on plates.
  18. 18. Melt some butter carefully in a small pan.
  19. 19. Pour the melted butter over the warm dumplings.
