🍰 Strawberry Quark Dumplings

Ingredients
- 500 g large strawberries
- 500 g low-fat quark
- 500 g flour
- 1 egg
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- 100 g hazelnuts (ground)
- 4 tbsp powdered sugar
- 100 g butter
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the strawberries carefully under running water.
- 2. Remove the green stems from the strawberries.
- 3. Pat the strawberries dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Mix the quark (low-fat curd cheese), flour, egg, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
- 5. Knead the butter into the quark mixture until a smooth dough forms.
- 6. Lightly dust a work surface with flour.
- 7. Shape the dough on the floured surface into a long roll.
- 8. Ensure the diameter of the dough roll is about as thick as a strawberry.
- 9. Cut the dough roll into slices about 2 centimeters thick.
- 10. Shape each dough slice into a small ball.
- 11. Take a dough ball and place a strawberry in the center.
- 12. Close the dough around the strawberry and press the edges firmly together.
- 13. Lightly roll the finished dumplings in flour.
- 14. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- 15. Add the dumplings to the boiling water.
- 16. Cook the dumplings until they float to the surface of the water.
- 17. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and place them on plates.
- 18. Melt some butter carefully in a small pan.
- 19. Pour the melted butter over the warm dumplings.
- 20. Sprinkle the dumplings with chopped hazelnuts.
- 21. Dust some powdered sugar over the dumplings.
- 22. Serve the dumplings immediately while warm.
