  3. 3. Peel the shallot and the garlic clove.
  4. 4. Dice the shallot and garlic very finely.
  5. 5. Heat the butter and oil in a large pot.
  6. 6. Add the shallot, garlic, and potato cubes to the pot.
  7. 7. Sauté the vegetables briefly until they soften.
  8. 8. Deglaze the mixture with the vegetable broth.
  9. 9. Bring the soup to a boil.
  10. 10. Let the soup simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  11. 11. Add the frozen peas to the pot.
  12. 12. Cook the peas for another 10 minutes until they are soft.
  13. 13. Stir the cream into the soup.
  14. 14. Finely chop the mint.
  15. 15. Add the chopped mint to the soup.
  16. 16. Blend the soup smooth with a hand blender.
  17. 17. Add more broth if necessary to reach your desired consistency.
  18. 18. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
  19. 19. Add a splash of lime juice.
  20. 20. Heat the soup again briefly until it is hot.
  21. 21. Pour the soup into bowls.
  22. 22. Sprinkle chili flakes over the finished soup.
