🍰 Crunchy Date Earwigs

Ingredients
- 0.5 Orange
- 50 g Oat Flakes
- 75 g dried Dates
- 50 g Almond Kernels
- 20 g Honey (2 Tbsp)
- 2 Tbsp Sesame
Instructions
- 1. Squeeze the juice from half an orange.
- 2. Put the oats into a bowl.
- 3. Mix the oats with two tablespoons of the orange juice.
- 4. Halve the dates.
- 5. Remove the pits from the date halves.
- 6. Put the pitted dates and the almonds into a food processor.
- 7. Chop the mixture finely.
- 8. If necessary, add one more tablespoon of orange juice.
- 9. Take the date-almond mixture out of the food processor.
- 10. Add the honey.
- 11. Mix the date-almond mixture thoroughly with the oats.
- 12. Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
- 13. Put the sesame seeds into the hot pan.
- 14. Toast the sesame seeds for three minutes without fat.
- 15. Take the toasted sesame seeds out of the pan.
- 16. Place the sesame seeds on a small plate.
- 17. Let the sesame seeds cool down.
- 18. Take a small amount of the date-almond mixture.
- 19. Shape it into a ball with a diameter of about two centimeters.
- 20. Roll the ball in the cooled sesame seeds.
- 21. Repeat this until you have 28 balls of equal size.
- 22. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 23. Distribute the balls on the baking sheet.
- 24. Let the balls dry for at least one hour.
- 25. Serve seven balls per portion.
