Instructions

  1. 1. Knead the marzipan and powdered sugar together in a bowl until you have a smooth, uniform dough.
  2. 2. Take exactly one quarter of the marzipan mixture aside and knead in green food coloring until evenly colored.
  3. 3. Place the green dough between two sheets of baking paper or cling film.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough until it is about 3 to 4 millimeters thick.
  5. 5. Cut out small clover leaves from the green dough using a cutter or a knife.
  6. 6. Take one third of the remaining marzipan dough and knead in red food coloring.
  7. 7. Keep the rest of the dough white and roll it into very long, thin stems for the mushrooms.
  8. 8. Shape small, tiny balls from the white dough and set them aside.
  9. 9. Shape small balls from the red dough and flatten them slightly to create the mushroom caps.
  10. 10. Carefully place the red caps onto the white stems.
  11. 11. Poke small holes into the top of the red caps using a toothpick.
  12. 12. Press the small white balls firmly into the holes you just made.
  13. 13. Whip the cream together with the vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl using a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  14. 14. Fill the whipped cream into a freezer bag.
  15. 15. Cut the ice into squares, with each side measuring about 5 centimeters.
  16. 16. Prepare a well-chilled plate and stack the ice squares on it in the shape of a pyramid.
  17. 17. Use scissors to cut off a small corner from the bottom corner of the freezer bag.
  18. 18. Dab or pipe some cream onto the ice pyramid as decoration.
  19. 19. Place the pyramid back in the freezer for a while to let the cream set.
  20. 20. Decorate the pyramid with the finished marzipan mushrooms and clover leaves shortly before serving.
