🍽️ Preserved Vanilla Figs

Ingredients
- 500 g yellow fig
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 kg sugar
- 250 ml white wine vinegar
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the figs thoroughly.
- 2. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 3. Add 2 liters of water, the sugar, the vinegar, and the vanilla pod to a pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 5. Let the liquid simmer until the volume has reduced by half.
- 6. Place the figs into a sterilized preserving jar.
- 7. Pour the hot liquid over the figs.
- 8. Seal the jar tightly.
- 9. Store the jar in a cool place.
