Ingredients
- 1 kg blue grapes (seedless to your liking)
- 2 cm fresh ginger
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 0.5 tsp orange zest
- 100 g sugar
- 400 l light red wine
- 100 ml grappa
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the grapes under running water.
- 2. Remove the individual grapes from the stems.
- 3. Fill the prepared jars with the grapes.
- 4. Peel the ginger.
- 5. Slice the ginger into thin rounds.
- 6. Break the cinnamon stick into small pieces.
- 7. Add the orange zest, ginger slices, cinnamon, sugar, 100 milliliters of water, and wine to a pot.
- 8. Heat the mixture while stirring until it briefly comes to a boil.
- 9. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 10. Stir the grappa into the warm liquid.
- 11. Pour the liquid over the grapes in the jars.
- 12. Ensure the grapes are completely covered with liquid.
- 13. Seal the jars tightly immediately.
- 14. Let the grapes pickle for at least 5 days before serving.
