  2. 2. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise.
  3. 3. Remove the seeds and white pith from the pepper halves.
  4. 4. Slice the pepper halves crosswise into thin strips.
  5. 5. Thoroughly wash the cucumber under running water.
  6. 6. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.
  7. 7. Scoop out the seeds from the cucumber halves using a spoon.
  8. 8. Dice the deseeded cucumber flesh into small cubes.
  9. 9. Whisk vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl to make a dressing.
  10. 10. Place the pepper strips and cucumber cubes into a large bowl.
  11. 11. Pour the salad dressing over the vegetables and mix everything well.
  12. 12. Let the salad marinate for about 30 minutes.
  13. 13. Stir the salad once more just before serving.
  14. 14. Distribute the cream cheese portions evenly over the salad.
  15. 15. Garnish the salad with fresh chervil leaves.
