  1. 1. Slice the spelt rolls into thick pieces.
  2. 2. Place the roll slices in lukewarm water for a short time to soften them.
  3. 3. Wash the fresh parsley under running water.
  4. 4. Shake the parsley dry.
  5. 5. Chop the parsley very finely.
  6. 6. Peel the onion completely.
  7. 7. Cut the onion into small, even cubes.
  8. 8. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a frying pan.
  9. 9. Add the onion cubes to the hot pan.
  10. 10. Fry the onions for one to two minutes.
  11. 11. Remove the pan from the heat when the onions are soft and translucent.
  12. 12. Let the onion mixture cool down briefly.
  13. 13. Squeeze the absorbed water out of the roll slices firmly.
  14. 14. Add the squeezed rolls, the cooled onions, the eggs, the mustard, and the parsley into a large bowl.
  15. 15. Add the ground meat to the bowl.
  16. 16. Season the mixture with salt to taste.
  17. 17. Season the mixture with freshly ground pepper to taste.
  18. 18. Add one teaspoon of marjoram to the mixture.
  19. 19. Knead all ingredients in the bowl well with your hands.
  20. 20. Form ten equal-sized meat patties from the meat mixture.

  22. 22. Place four patties at a time into the hot pan.
  23. 23. Fry the patties for four to five minutes over medium heat.
  24. 24. Turn the patties carefully with a spatula.
  25. 25. Fry the patties on the other side for another four to five minutes.
  26. 26. Remove the patties from the pan when they are golden brown.
  27. 27. Repeat the frying process with the remaining patties.
