🍽️ Tasty Spelt Roll Meat Patties

Ingredients
- 2 Spelt rolls (stale)
- 0.5 bunch parsley
- 70 g onions (1 onion)
- 80 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp mustard (hot)
- 800 g ground beef
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp marjoram (dried)
Instructions
- 1. Slice the spelt rolls into thick pieces.
- 2. Place the roll slices in lukewarm water for a short time to soften them.
- 3. Wash the fresh parsley under running water.
- 4. Shake the parsley dry.
- 5. Chop the parsley very finely.
- 6. Peel the onion completely.
- 7. Cut the onion into small, even cubes.
- 8. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a frying pan.
- 9. Add the onion cubes to the hot pan.
- 10. Fry the onions for one to two minutes.
- 11. Remove the pan from the heat when the onions are soft and translucent.
- 12. Let the onion mixture cool down briefly.
- 13. Squeeze the absorbed water out of the roll slices firmly.
- 14. Add the squeezed rolls, the cooled onions, the eggs, the mustard, and the parsley into a large bowl.
- 15. Add the ground meat to the bowl.
- 16. Season the mixture with salt to taste.
- 17. Season the mixture with freshly ground pepper to taste.
- 18. Add one teaspoon of marjoram to the mixture.
- 19. Knead all ingredients in the bowl well with your hands.
- 20. Form ten equal-sized meat patties from the meat mixture.
- 21. Heat the remaining butter in the same pan.
- 22. Place four patties at a time into the hot pan.
- 23. Fry the patties for four to five minutes over medium heat.
- 24. Turn the patties carefully with a spatula.
- 25. Fry the patties on the other side for another four to five minutes.
- 26. Remove the patties from the pan when they are golden brown.
- 27. Repeat the frying process with the remaining patties.
