- 1. Slice off the top and bottom of the orange flat. Then remove the peel along with the white bitter pith completely all around.
- 2. Hold the orange over a bowl. Carefully cut with the knife between the membranes and the flesh to release a segment.
- 3. Turn the knife and cut the segment off the other side of the membrane so it falls out completely.
- 4. Place the segments in the bowl. Squeeze the remaining peel to collect the juice if you need it.
