🍽️ Crispy Shrimp Dim Sum Dumplings

Ingredients
- 200 g wheat starch
- a splash of boiling water
- 125 g chopped shrimp
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp finely chopped onions (or leeks)
- salt
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp wine vinegar
Instructions
- 1. Put the wheat starch into a bowl.
- 2. Add the water gradually.
- 3. Knead the mixture into a smooth and pliable dough.
- 4. Roll out the dough thinly.
- 5. Cut out circles with a diameter of 8 to 10 centimeters.
- 6. Put the shrimp, ginger, sesame oil, pepper, onions (or leek), and salt into a separate bowl.
- 7. Mix the filling ingredients well together.
- 8. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle.
- 9. Fold the dough edges together to create a zigzag pattern.
- 10. Steam the dumplings in a bamboo basket over boiling water vapor.
- 11. Steam the dumplings for 10 minutes.
- 12. Whisk the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
- 13. Serve the dim sums together with the sauce.
