🍽️ Creamy Fava Bean Puree

Ingredients
- 300 g fava beans
- 3 garlic cloves
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin (ground)
- 1 pinch chili peppers (finely ground)
- 0.5 lemon (juice)
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Place the fava beans in a bowl the day before.
- 2. Cover them with plenty of cold water.
- 3. Let the beans soak until their skins split open at the seam.
- 4. Peel the garlic.
- 5. Finely chop the garlic.
- 6. Drain the soaking water from the beans.
- 7. Place the drained beans in a pot.
- 8. Add the chopped garlic to the pot.
- 9. Pour one liter of fresh water into the pot.
- 10. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 11. Let the beans simmer on high heat for about 30 minutes.
- 12. Pour the cooked beans and garlic into a sieve.
- 13. Let the mixture drain well.
- 14. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 15. Add the spices to the hot pan.
- 16. Toast the spices briefly.
- 17. Deglaze the pan with lemon juice.
- 18. Place the drained beans in a blender.
- 19. Add the spice mixture from the pan to the blender.
- 20. Puree the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- 21. Season the puree with salt.
- 22. Season the puree with pepper.
- 23. Fill the puree into small bowls.
- 24. Serve the puree.
