🍽️ Crispy Steak with Cheesy Onion Bake

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 200 g mushrooms
- 4 slices smoked ham
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 slices beef steak approx. 180 g each (e.g. entrecôte)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 100 g blue cheese
- 150 g mozzarella
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and dice it into fine cubes.
- 2. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into thin pieces.
- 3. Fry the bacon in a hot pan until golden brown on both sides.
- 4. Remove the bacon from the pan and set it aside.
- 5. Sauté the onions and mushrooms in the remaining bacon fat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 6. Season the vegetables with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- 7. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 8. Rinse the steaks briefly under cold water.
- 9. Pat the steaks dry with a kitchen towel.
- 10. Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- 11. Heat oil in a separate pan.
- 12. Sear the steaks for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
- 13. Place the seared steaks into small, slightly preheated cast-iron pans.
- 14. Distribute the sautéed mushrooms evenly over the steaks.
- 15. Dice both types of cheese into small pieces.
- 16. Sprinkle the diced cheese generously over the steaks.
- 17. Bake the steaks for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
- 18. Garnish the finished dish with fresh parsley.
