  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Place the bread roll in a bowl and pour lukewarm water over it.
  3. 3. Wash the tomatoes under running water.
  4. 4. Cut off the top ends of the tomatoes.
  5. 5. Carefully scoop out the inside of the tomatoes with a spoon.
  6. 6. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well with your hands to remove the water.
  7. 7. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes.
  8. 8. Put the minced meat, the squeezed-out bread roll, and the egg yolk into a large bowl.
  9. 9. Mix the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly with your hands.
  10. 10. Fold the chopped herbs into the meat mixture.
  11. 11. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. 12. Fill the hollowed-out tomatoes with the meat mixture.
  13. 13. Put the rice into a baking dish.
  14. 14. Pour the broth over the rice in the dish.
  15. 15. Place the stuffed tomatoes directly on the rice.
  16. 16. Place the cut-off tomato tops as lids next to the stuffed tomatoes.
  17. 17. Season the tomatoes and the rice in the dish once more with salt and pepper.
  18. 18. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven.
  19. 19. Bake the tomatoes for about 30 minutes.
  20. 20. Take the baking dish out of the oven.
  21. 21. Serve the tomatoes directly from the baking dish at the table.
