🍽️ Hearty Rice Salad with Mayo Dressing

Ingredients
- 150 g long-grain rice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp onion cubes
- 300 ml meat broth
- salt
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- bell peppers (1 red and 1 green each)
- 100 g Hungarian salami
- 100 g Emmental
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 bunch parsley
- 100 g corn kernels (from the can)
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 100 g sour cream
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 3 tbsp white wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 2. Sauté the onion cubes until soft.
- 3. Add the rice.
- 4. Fry the rice over medium heat.
- 5. Sprinkle everything with paprika powder.
- 6. Pour in the broth.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a boil once.
- 8. Cover the pot.
- 9. Let the rice cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
- 10. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 11. Let the rice cool down completely.
- 12. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise.
- 13. Remove the seeds from the peppers.
- 14. Wash the peppers.
- 15. Cut the peppers into thin strips.
- 16. Cut the salami into strips about 4 centimeters long.
- 17. Cut the cheese into strips about 4 centimeters long.
- 18. Wash the parsley.
- 19. Chop the parsley finely.
- 20. Wash the chili.
- 21. Chop the chili finely.
- 22. Mix the mayonnaise with the ketchup and sour cream.
- 23. Season the sauce with vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- 24. Pour the sauce over the rice.
- 25. Mix everything well.
- 26. Let the salad marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 27. Taste the sauce again.
- 28. Serve the salad.
