  4. 4. Wash the lime under hot water.
  5. 5. Dry the lime.
  6. 6. Finely grate the zest of the lime.
  7. 7. Squeeze the juice of the lime.
  8. 8. Heat the oil in a pot.
  9. 9. Sauté the onions and garlic for 1 minute.
  10. 10. Add the lentils and the carrot cubes.
  11. 11. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
  12. 12. Pour in the broth.

  14. 14. Simmer the soup over medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes.
