🍽️ Fruity Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh cranberries
- 3 tbsp butter
- 500 g sugar
- 3 star anise
- 1 tbsp ginger (freshly grated)
- 50 ml lemon juice
- 50 ml water
- 100 ml white wine
- 1 pinch cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Wash the cranberries thoroughly.
- 2. Let the berries drain well.
- 3. Remove any damaged or unusable berries.
- 4. Melt the butter in a pot.
- 5. Add the cranberries to the melted butter.
- 6. Sauté the berries for about 3 minutes.
- 7. Stir occasionally while doing so.
- 8. Now add the remaining ingredients.
- 9. Simmer the mixture over low heat.
- 10. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 11. Wait until the berries are soft.
- 12. Puree the cooked mixture.
- 13. Add a little water if necessary.
- 14. Press the sauce through a fine sieve.
- 15. Heat the finished sauce once more briefly.
- 16. Season the sauce to taste at the end.
- 17. Fill the hot sauce immediately into clean jars.
- 18. Seal the jars tightly.
- 19. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids for 10 minutes.
- 20. Then turn the jars right side up.
- 21. Let the jars cool down completely.
