🍽️ Cranberry Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients
- 100 g cranberries (dried)
- 250 ml red wine
- 1 piece untreated orange peel
- 2 tbsp port wine
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 4 tbsp currant jelly
- 0.5 tsp hot mustard
- salt
- 1 pinch ginger powder
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch white pepper
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
Instructions
- 1. Soak the cranberries in the wine overnight and store them in a cool place. The next day, add a piece of orange peel, bring the mixture to a boil, and stir occasionally. Remove the orange peel, and stir in port wine, orange juice, cranberry jelly, and mustard.
- 2. Season the sauce and let it cool down to lukewarm. Meanwhile, toast the almonds in a non-stick pan without fat until golden yellow. Let them cool down, and fold them into the sauce before serving.
